Ransom Paid

Ransom Paid ( born Ta'Hon J. King) was Born and raised in Pasadena CA. Growing up in the Northwest Development Project Area Ransom Paid remembers failing in love with hip hop at an early age. He recalls listening to Eric B and Rakim, and Big Daddy Kane, and inspiring to just like them. He soon began rapping and emulating the hip hop life stlye. Ransom Paid grew up in church, during his teenage years his life did not relect a Christian, he often jokes about how his grandmother made sure he was in Sunday School every week no matter what his pervious activites may had been the night before. At the age of 19 his Grandmother consistency paid off. Ransom Paid began attending Church more regularly and grew more spiritually and at the tender age of 21 he accepted his call to this ministry and soon became a youth minister. At such an young age he saw his peers still attached to the Culture of Hip Hop, with little to none attending church services with little to none attending church services. This became a burden on his heart. He recalls driving in the car and listening to the radio everything song on the radio was glitz glamour, and lies, coming to a revelation. (Tahon) you rapped before you were saved now rap to save. Not long after accepted his call, did Ransom Paid begin to Rap for the Lord, and he has touched many lives through his music. Today Ransom Paid is still committed to reaching souls, in the name Christ. Ransom Paid is married with 3 kids and now resides in Phoenix AZ, where he is the Youth Minister at Gospel 4 Life Church in Chandler AZ.
