True Banger

This album is a 9.3. Trip as an emcee is a 9.8. I just think his southern yet lyrical style is amazing. Secular or HHH, I have never heard a song parallel to "Relief". I can play that for my old aunts and earth wind and fire fans and they will respect it. Actually, i slept on the intro. I think he shows how he ride a beat on that joint. "Real Vision" is the best song of the year.

Ambassador said it right "Every track this dude jumps on, he kills"

Best Album from Christian Hip-Hop

I mainly listen to secular music. I love underground, local artist and non-mainstream music. I started listening to some Christian Hip-Hop such as Grits, T-Bone and KJ-52. The was introduced to the 116 crew with Lecrae. For a while I loved After the Music Stops........
BUT......20/20 is by far the hardest hitting album with a message that delievers. I have 2 twelves in my car and this album BUMPS.......If you don't have this album....Buy it...and if you have this album...I strongly suggest you invest in a sub. Including secular music this Album is in my top 5 for best ever. (Fort Minor - The Rising Tied, Tonedeff - Archetype, Swollen Members - Black Magic, Sweatshop Union - United We Fall & Trip Lee - 20/20) - Jon Klein

@ChristMatic: look at the writer, it's not the same one so obviously they have different views. I'm sure "Rob Target" who wrote the review for Humble Tip, Hazit, would give a pefect 5 stars for 20/20. - Tek

Yeah I feel you...I like the Frontlynaz but I'm not really feeling Humble Tip. I don't see how they beat out Trip Lee's album. Im not really a reach records fan but I really liked Trips album. I think some cats are partial. - Young

How could Rapzilla put albums like the Frontlynaz,Theory Hazit,T.Stone,Humble Tip,etc. A Better rating than 20/20.This album is something the others are not;Ground Breaking.I Play this album at work and have brothers of the world knockin' & coping this album. That is what makes it a classic,it trancends where others are just for the believers. - ChristMatic

First off I would like to say Thnak You to Trip Lee. Thank you for reppin Christ on the frontline and for being unashamed of the Gospel of the Lord. I think Trip really shows off his musical abilities with the Track "Intimacy", the first time I heard it I got chills. It's a completely different dynamic when he slows down and really tells you about what he wants his personal relationship with the Lord to be like. This album just makes me want to do better as a christian. Another thing I noticed about this album is that the beats are crisp and clean and heavy. That's exciting to me because I haven't heard anything recently that just stood out from everything else. "Superstar".....man he straight up says don't focus on me, focus on what God is saying through me. "Cling To You" is super chill I have this on one of my mixes I use to help me sleep and Shai Linne's part is ILL!!! "Eyes Open" reminds me so much of Lupe Fiasco but better. "True Security" really got to me, he basically speaks about real situations that people are going through, and all they have to do is reach out to God for help.

Okay, first on Trip set the bar for everybody in the 116/Reach Records Camp... I lovethis joint. Since Igot it this bangs in heavy rotation. I'm unfairly biased against the southern rappers b/c I feel they oversimply the message too often. Trip proves me wrong time and time again. From the intro he let's it be known the purpose of this album is a stronger relationship with Christ (so I suggest you get to know em'). The beats and production are really great. Alot of times you find albums that don't really flow but this album whoever mastered it did a great job. Real Vision is the #2 most played song on my iPOD and I've only had the album a month, whats that tell you? Lol, the song bangs in case you ain't realize it. Inexhaustible, I love the message, it's like tellin us God isn't hard to get but at the same time we can never stoplearning something from him no matter how many times we hear the same sermon. Who is Like Him is another one of my favorites. That hook sounds great whether in your car stereo or in your headphones. Behold the Spirit, is the highlight of the for me. Trip comes through showcasing his lyrical abilities and deciphering scripture, I love it. Mayne I could go through this album and explain/critique every track and why it's so powerful but I think y'all just need to cop it if you haven't. Great job Trip.

This is a classic! It is the best so far at really getting people to focus on God. To hear this, you have to hear it with your heart, and then turn around and see God with that heart. No other album has done it like this. What is wild is that this is rated lower than Theory Hazit and Frontlynaz, so I better go cop them. But as far as content about God, there is no other better than this. It does not diversify to give you the street joint, the struggling in church joint, the repentence banger... nope, it's all about God, who He is, who we are in comparison to Him, and that He's already done more than enough! Classic! - PugsintheBeanCity

This is a good album. Trip Lee is one of the best in the game. This album isn't a classic, but it's really good. All he needs to do is diversify his style a little and he will be making classics. Oh, I'm only hard on him because he has the potential to be the best MC period, this album is better than most others. - Bryce B

I don't think it was meant to be a "classic", it was meant to be spiritual sound; it's goal being to speaking about our God in ways that more people can understand & dig into the Word of God for themselves.
I still think this deserves a 5 star.. because in my opinion, it's the strongest album release of 2008 so far. - symphonycee
