Can Christian hip-hop make it in Green Country's urban markets?
If local rapper Fedel has anything to do with it, yes it can.

Last week, his newly minted single, "Tell a Friend," was voted the No. 1 song on Tulsa's 105.3 KJamz nightly top eight countdown. "Being that I'm a Christian artist — a Christian hip-hop artist at that — this is a huge accomplishment that I don't take for granted," he said in a recent e-mail to the Tulsa World. He thanks primetime DJ, Ramal, for the break.

Braille added a new song on his myspace page called "HeartFelt" which is a feature for DJ Tone Spliff album, that will be dropping later this year titled "Authentic." Braille comments on the new song "This "HeartFelt" track definitely has some personal lyrics. I don't really force most of my feature appearances, I just rap about whatever I'm thinking/feeling at the moment. Hope you enjoy."

Braille also announced that every now and then he is going to throw rough drafts, features and exclusives up on his myspace. Sharing new music fresh after he creates it.

The music business in Nigeria is changing as Evangelists turn from traditional gospel music to mainstream to ensure that the Gospel itself is spread to as many as possible through Hip-Hop.  One of the acts involved in this new wave of Gospel is the Rooftop MC’s, which consist of two young men called Kunie Adeyoola (Soulsnatcha) and Olaitan Hughes (Sokleva).

Both grew up with spiritual influences that made them gravitate towards the music industry, and they decided that their sound would be Hip-Hop and their lyrics Gospel.

EA Sports selected Braille's song "The IV" to use in the trailer for their video game "NBA Live 09" coming out this fall.  The trailer showcases the athlete who will be featured on the cover of the game, Tony Parker from the San Antonio Spurs.  The song comes from Braille's forth solo record "The IV Edition" available now on Syntax/Koch.  The video game placement adds another highlight to what has already been an incredible summer for Braille.  After his record dropped on April 15th he received great reviews from The Source, Okayplayer.com, Rapreviews.com, Sphereofhiphop.com and many more.  He also did a 3 month U.S. tour which included album release parties with Pigeon John, The Paid Dues festival in Denver with De La Soul and performances on Vans Warped Tour with Othello.  The trailer for NBA Live 09 can be viewed on Youtube at the follow link - http://youtube.com/watch?v=YlXG5Ic8n7c
