I'm new to all this Holy Hip Hop, but all I can say is "WOW"! A friend just turned me on to Lecrae and I had no idea there was great Christian Rap. I'm just glad I know now. Keep up the good work and as someone said above they need to get the word out and promote more. Otherwise I would still be joking about DC Talk.

I use tunecore to get all my tracks and there seems to be about 15 Holy Hip Albums A Month, and you have to look very hard to find them. Keep bringing the Gospel and get those numbers up. Secular hip hop has about 600 albums a month. It would be really COOL to see 600 Holy Hip Albums one month, and I'll keep praying.

I'm getting both The Chop Chop and Rebel, which is different, because I didn't get either curtis or the Graduation, this scenario is better, 50 lifts himself up, as does Kanye, Ambassador and Lecrae lift up the names of God and Jesus Christ!

Christian Hip Hop does need to get their act together for the marketing and promotion side, nothing is done and they think so small of the market that they don't even try going further, sad but true, if albums are made to reach people why not go after them instead assuming everyone knows them.that's pride

Dope concept to release them a week apart. The Kanye & 50 Cent reference is irrelevant and outdated. I really want cats to start promoting ahead of time so that people are aware of album release dates so we can support

Another hot article, dude we got to talk. We'll be discussing this on the show www.resradio.net cause its too interesting. What would have been hot is if the 2 camps could have come up with some kind of promotional package were for a "limited time only" you could have gotten both albums.Like maybe midway between both release dates. But i don't work at CMR or Reach so if they take my idea, im coming after em, (lol). I have mixed feelings about the whole "you go buy his album/no, you buy his album concept". We as Christians have worked to long and hard to keep saying it isn't about the money. If your content with the level of ministry that God has for you whether that's a 10 member congregation or a 10,000 member congregation , then cool. But if you know God has given you a bigger vision, then the bottom line is your going to need resources whether thats money,favor, etc. Peep it in 2Chr 2 Solomon needed supplies from King Hiram to build Gods Temple. Did he get them for free or by favor? No he paid for them (2chr 2:10). with what was considered money for that time. I know in the video there saying we'll there is no competittion, yet here in my hometown you have 2 Christian bookstores right down the street from each other, and they need sales to stay in business. This is where the "Great Debate" comes in between business and ministry. You have alot ministries using of business principals, which is cool. but the bottom line of business is to make a profit, which God doesn't have a problem with either. Its really about just distinguishing which one you are and running with that.

First off I think the video was done superbly. That's was enjoyable to watch.

I do think that Lecrae's and Ambassador's situation can not EVEN closely compare to 50's and Kanye's.

I say that not EVEN from the vein of Christians don't (or shouldn't) beef or compete. But, I say that simply from the fact that 50 and Kanye dropped their records on the same release day.

And the ONLY reason that I (and I ASSUME OTHERS) questioned why these two dropped their albums so close together because of the Overshadow affect in such a young musical genre.

In HHH albums aren't promoted well alot of times for various reasons but, to that reality....it takes a while for the consuming public to get on board and for records to really generate Buzz and Sells.

So, when you have two artist in HHH dropping albums a week apart it’s not competition but, the way of the public can tend to sway towards the more favored of the two artist EVEN THOUGH you’re a week apart. Especially if it's a situation like the example LeCrae gave of "your last $20.00." Then you're in a crux.

I Think, until major or established HHH & R&P artist start getting major marketing and AD dollars, that album releases should be spread or spaced out (MORE THAN A WEEK) just to give each album the opportunity to grow roots and not be plucked up by the next bangin' record to come along a week later or earlier for that matter.

Depending on the artist an album coming out a week earlier could overshadow the album coming a week later or the album that comes a week later garners more attention than the album released the previous week.

Yet…and still I do think the professionals at CMR and REACH have already looked at all of the angles and they welcome this situation with no second thought or hesitation.

So, if your supporter of Both Ambassador and LeCrae I hope you have been saving your duckets every since you've got wind of these two projects releasing because the last two TUESDAYs of September are going to demand your LCT not TLC but, LCT...your Loving Care in the form of Financial TENDER.
