Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s Stellar award-winning, GRAMMY® and GMA Dove-nominated junior project, Open Book enjoyed a record-setting debut at #2 on the Billboard Gospel Chart the week of its release. Now, in his epic fourth Cross Movement Records release, Da’ T.R.U.T.H. encourages listeners two See and Live THE BIG PICTURE.

Divided in two parts by interludes, which feature GRAMMY winner and multi-platinum artist Kirk Franklin as the narrator, the opening scene explodes with “U-Ready?” featuring J-Soul as Da’ T.R.U.T.H. rallies us to See THE BIG PICTURE by going back in time to the beginning of creation to experience first-hand the unfolding of God’s redemptive story from Him speaking the earth into existence to the climactic “Trumpet Blow” at the end of time.

The second part of the CD provokes us to Live THE BIG PICTURE—a life shaped and driven by God’s redemptive story—as Da’ T.R.U.T.H. tackles issues such as politics, prejudice and more in songs like “My President,” “Great Wall” “Fantasy” and “Pain.”

Along the way, he is joined by an all-star cast of guest artists who help him paint the pictures of this cinematic experience including: Tye Tribbett, J.R., Deluge Band, Trip Lee and 2008 UK MOBO winner Jahaziel and the fresh new voices of Tia Pittman on the infectious single “Lost,” Freddy Washington, Jr., J-Soul, Chris Graham, GP and Swoope. Produced by Freddy Washington, Jr. and Da’ T.R.U.T.H., THE BIG PICTURE also features tracks by the award-winning J.R., Tony Stone, UK newcomer GP and Philly natives David Hackley and Edward “PeeDee” Wright.

A graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University and The Institute of Jewish Studies, the 2007 and 2009 Stellar Award Winner, born Emanuel Lee Lambert, Jr., has been involved in urban missions since the age of 16. As a rapper, he works to impact the culture with godly values through his music and teaching. He has been a featured artist on Kirk Franklin’s HERO Tour along with Mary Mary and has ministered at festivals and conferences including BattleCry, Acquire The Fire, Always Sisters, MegaFest and Creation Fest.

His television appearances include performing the 24th Annual Stellar Awards and features on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16,” BET’s “BET News” and “Lift Every Voice,”—including an hour-long special on him, which has aired four times—TBN’s “Praise The Lord (on three different occasions),” Gospel Music Channel’s “G-Insider” and “Christmas Voices,” GOD TV, DayStar Network’s “Check the Sound,” National Religious Broadcasters’ “RAW TV,” INSP’s “Steelroots” and “Mixx Master’s Lounge” and more. His media highlights include Vibe, ESSENCE, The Source, XXL, Sister2Sister, JET, Charisma, CCM and New Man magazines.

He lives in Philadelphia with his wife Nicole and daughter Carlise and serves as Elder Elect at Epiphany Fellowship. Visit Da’ T.R.U.T.H. at datruth.net, myspace.com/truthonduty or crossmovementrecords.com.

DA T.R.U.T.H

I think that this was a solid album from DA TRUTH, it show's
his maturity and I was very pleased with the album. But I honestly think that he should stay way from makeover tracks like “My President." I believe God has blessed the REAL Gospel rappers with too much talent and anointing to use the worlds beats (that’s just me). But nevertheless a solid album from my man DA TRU. And I pray that God bless him to make more.

No doubt, Trip Lee's 20/20 helped us get a more clear vision of Gog. and now Da TRUTH brings another way we should live. By seeing the Big picture.

thanx TRUTH. we need this.

Inkosi ikubusise (that's Zulu for God Bless).

Check out Romans 1 and 2 and you'll see how we're stupid to worship man, even ourselves. Seeing the Big Picture helps us clear the fog of offence, helps us understand the constructiveness of what God's doing in the present, regardless of how unpleasant, andfinally get us to understand that our dream is not only for our benefits but for the Body of Christ and the Kingdom.
