After seven years in the music ministry with great success, Grammy Nominee, Mr. Del, announces the multi-million dollar deal he has inked with Universal Distribution. Formerly a member of the Oscar winning, platinum selling secular rap group Three-Six-Mafia, Mr. Del CEO/recording artist of Holy South Records as well as a recording artist for EMI, has begun a new and innovative conference called, “The Rapture: Holy Hip-Hop Conference.”

The conference is bringing Christian independent artists, national recording artists, and entertainment industry veterans together to launch a movement. This conference proved to be an effective tool in teaching Biblical principles to up and coming artists and to learn valuable skills in becoming a professional in the music industry. Last year’s performers included, Mr. Del, IRocc Williams, Pettidee, Canton Jones, and Lisa McClendon just to name a few. This year on August 29th-31st 2008, Holy South Ministries are doing it again so come be a part of history in the making!

Mr. Del will be hosting a workshop with world-renowned jazz artist Kirk Whalum, Angela Green (entertainment lawyer) and other record label executives.

for him to have such "fun" songs he's really negative.
hopefully he stopped doing diss music.
i hope that he's holy behind closed
doors and that his new converts arent
seeing a lifestyle of sin being pasted
off as mere weakness.. i hope he has
strong godly and older men, training
him up in holiness (accountability)
and also that he stays away from the
women as a young unmarried pastor.
what's in us comes out..listen to the
music. it's a little scary cuz he's
a pastor. also i know that God is
judge but there is also accountability.
and nobody is above reproach; pride
can easily be seen in the forefront.
not to be confused with confidence.
i just hope the brother is holy. too
many pastors are like pimps.
they got bottom b's, act like diddy,
got male and female groupies and no
kinda accountability. it's a recipe
for borderline cultish activities..
i've seen it time and again. they act
worse then the world sometimes cuz
the temptation be greater and the fall
be crazy. if he's holy...all is well and his climb
will be victorious. no matter what
critics say. i hope he reps the believer well
in hip hop with great sounds but even
more that the world recognize the
Lord by the love that only the Lord
can demonstrate. bet.
KINGDOM! period
written by ~felicia~, September 29, 2008
I could testify for at least a couple hours about the great blessing Del has been to me. Or I could argue that "his" lyrics are completely scriptural in their content. To those that actually study the scripture. How a man can reach the completely lost and feed “meat eaters” at the same time is beyond me, but God does it through this vessel. I could even call you a couple names for being so eager to speak so wrong about how you feel free to make negative comments about someone you don't know and that is supposed to be our brother in Christ. I could tell you just how much it upsets me to see my brother and a person that has served me so well being attacked despite the constant sacrifices he makes for the body. But I won't. Cause the isn't about me and my opinions. It's about pushing the KINGDOM forward. And that's something I learned from Mr. Del.
For a man that is definitely Holy that happens to be a rapper make a statement that HHH is ineffective is shocking even to my open mind. But I have been listening to Christian Alternative (including HHH) all my life and nothing has had the impact on my life that the Holy South (H’s up family!) has. That’s the bottom line… just the truth. He and the movement with him have made an extreme difference in my life, unlike any music before except maybe one other rapper. It’s hard not to testify folks, but remember this is about the KINGDOM and not me. So as ya hate on the deal and become uneasy about a man of God testifying of the things (yes I said things!) that God has blessed him with let’s consider this.

Matthew 5:15-17
15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

Some people will see your stuff before they know your God. So it’s not about dissecting a word and then making a doctrine about what a Christian who happens to be called to rap (amongst other things. do ya research.) should say. It’s about speaking what God has called that individual to say.

Period.

I don't know about those comments in the interview
written by D-Ray the Overcomer, September 25, 2008
Congrats on the deal

What he said in the article was not right

I like Mr. Del and I own one of his albums. Some people don’t agree with his message and they think that he is inappropriate at times with some of his lyrics. I think he is borderline but I personally have no problem with him. Now I do have a problem with some of his comments in the interview like Holy Hip-hop (HHH) not being affective and that it’s corny. It was a poor generalization and he categorized all of us HHH emcees into one group. We call it what we want and so do secular artist they argue all day long about being real and what’s hip-hop and what’s rap and what’s gangsta and whose lyrical and whose not. So if they can do it so can we and we’ve decided to call it HHH and we’re not all corny. I believe that Mr. Del knows that HHH is affective and I think he was just shooting off the lip to get things going for his new deal. Controversy sells and this allows him to get more PR time and to answer more people who may be upset. He didn’t get a multi-million dollar deal by being stupid. He’s smart and he’s borderline, besides if he wanted to be called something else, he would tell retailers to not put him in the Christian section. But hey what do I know I’m just an ill affective corny HHH artist whose trifling and only Mr. Del wins souls.

I know I am going to be called a hater and whatever else people want to say when their point of view is challenged. Not only does Mr. Del not push the Gospel, he contradicts it on many occasions. Every time he boasts about money or being the greatest rapper, that contradicts scripture. Paul said "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord." If Del is called, then boast in Christ, not possessions. We are supposed to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him. Remember that? We claim he is reaching people for Christ. Are they really coming to Christ if they are coming based on a false message and a "Look at me" testimony? We could say then that mormans and Jehovas witnesses are bringing people to Christ because their message is just slightly different than the real Gospel too. Look, I know Jesus hung out with the world to reach them. He healed them, fed them, clothed them, gave them God's word. Jesus never tried to relate to them. He never once endulged in sin or contradicted scripture for the purpose of relating or saving some. The only times he went against scripture it was to usher in the new covenant, which was grace through Him. We can't just change the rules. We are to preach the gospel. If nobody comes to God unless the father draws them, then why do we think that it is nessesary to relate? If we give them the truth, God will draw them if it is His will. Mr. Del, if he is reaching anybody, is reaching them with a false message. It is not that Christ is everything you need, but that Christ will give you everything you want. I don't like writing this, but after hearing what He was saying about these other HHH artists, I can no longer call this man a representative of the truth. I cannot judge His salvation, and I pray that He has it, but he does not give an accurate picture of Christ. Not that any of us do, but to blatantly oppose the gospel is going too far. Let the God be true and every man a liar.

Secular vs Christian
written by japan, September 11, 2008
Comment I will make about this is: We are the body of Christ. Everyone has a place. Christians need to stop this categorization that shai linne and CMR type groups have formulated. Positive rapper is a rapper that does not even use "BIBLICAL" principles in their songs but just talk about good things. Christian rapper is one that includes 2five, Braille, 116 and Applejaxx. All of these people are using the message of Christ to communicate..
This is Just Lame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
written by Are You Serious, September 11, 2008
Some of us are so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good. Why are we arguing over non essentials. So, What Del talks about rims. The reason why you can relate with CMR or 116 is because your eyes are open!!!!!!! The problem is you are so OUT OF TOUCH WITH SOCIETY that you don't realize they don't know and could careless about what these fellas are talking about. Paul even writes that you can't explain spiritual things to carnal people. Therefore, if these brothers are for Christ, LEAVE THEM ALONE! You are idolizing CMR and 116. They are not the mold of Christian Hip Hop. Don't Make THE GOSPEL SO ONE DIMENSIONAL. If I sound mad, IT IS BECAUSE I AM MAD. There are souls out here that are lost and YA'LL ARE IN HERE ARGUING ABOUT HOW MUCH SOMEBODY TALKS ABOUT RIMS INSTEAD OF TRYING TO SUPPORT A MINISTRY THAT CAN TOUCH 10000000000000s of people. HOW IGNORANT IS THAT!!!!! For the people that are crying division in the body and trying to down play people's ministries, ya'll are ANTI CHRISTIAN and that's real talk. Because this is not the way Christ meant for us to be. He wanted us to be unified so i extend this invitation to you. COME TOGETHER AND SERVE OR QUITE FRANKLY. SHUT UP AND STOP DIVIDING THE KINGDOM

HOLLA!!!!!!!!!!
Secular Music
written by Lamar Gibbs, September 11, 2008
It's crazy that I have to write this, but secular music isn't the same as being sinful music or demonic music. For instance a street light is a secular instrument used to maintain order. There are many songs that aren't Christian, but are secular, but at the same time they aren't self-centered but it deals with certain topics. Just wanted to make that clear because too often Christians complain about "secular" when the real battle is against destructive lyrics that redirect your attention away from Christ.

Like I said in another comment board about Theory Hazit's album, if you really want everyone to be like 116 or Cross Movement, then go and talk to R-Swift why he listens to Christian artists that are nothing like Cross Movement. He listens to those types of artists, like Theory Hazit, as well as 116, so is he compromising if he supports these artists, they are obviously Christian artists that edify, so why would should he not listen. What do you mean if there were more like 116, there would be a movement? There is already a movement. 116 moves, and Theory Hazit moves to the orders of one general, Christ their king, and once again I think its a shame that that isn't recognized. Theory Hazit makes sure people recognize the authenticity of his walk, but surprisingly I have found that its the Christians who actually take longer to recognize his affiliation with Christ, not "positive vibes" lol. Like I said, Braille is the head of the label that Theory is on, would you think he would sign a positive artist? Its about spreading the Gospel, and 116 is supplying a need that God has placed them to fill, and Braille and the many other brothers in the Lord are supplying a need that God is filling. It's encouraging to see the amount of exposure the Gospel gets with dudes like 2Five(I saw 2Five in a video at a historic secular place in Austin Texas, speak to up and coming rappers about Christ, an the room was dead silent because it was so unexpected, since it wasn't a Christian event. Let 116 and Cross Movement walk in their calling and let 2Five and Mr.Del and Braille and all the other soldiers for the kingdom walk in theirs, because we all serve one Master, the Man Jesus Christ!
Christ is the 1st word in Christian Atist,So It should,nt be the last 1 in a Christian Song!

I Ain't No Superstar,Keep Ya Eyez Off Me,Put Ya Eyez On Him,Should Be A Major Focus Of Christian Music.Secular Music, especially Rap is all Me,ME,ME,So Christian Rap Should All Be Him,Him,Him!I Wish more Rappers would be like 116 or CMR,then we can make a Real Movement!Crae did It,so Del Can Do It 2,it's about those 66's not those 24's!Theory Hazit had to make a Song to Explain Himself, the Question is,He Should'nt Have to make a Song to explain Himself, anyone who listens to him should Automatically Know,OK This is a Christian Artists.People get on here and Protect these Artists like they really Know,I Talk about this because I Don't Know, and that is the Real Tragedy!I Should'nt Have to Wonder!!!And That's Meat!!!!Enjoy Ya Milk Kids!!!!!!!!!!!!smilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gif
Is 2Five also a 'positive' rapper???
written by Lamar Gibbs, September 11, 2008
It's weird reading these comments on here, because most people don't know that there are more Christian rappers signed to Universal than Mr. Del. 2Five has signed with Universal, but would you consider him not a Christian rapper? Idk if his deal is as much as Mr. Del I don't think so, but I do know this, that Mr. Del is a Christian artist, period regardless of what any of you say about it. This is the same nonsense I hear when people claim Theory Hazit is a positive rapper, soo much so that he had to make a song just to address the gossip going around about it. If you feel so strongly that he isn't rapping what he believes strongly THEN WRITE HIM!! He has a Myspace folks, get his email from someone, but don't hide behind comment boards giving your two cents if you can't cash it for anything. I sound angry but I'm not just annoyed that people don't talk to the artists themselves and find out about info, than just assuming his ministry for Christ is weak, because its not Cross Movement, which is clearly a foolish thing. Is everyone supposed to be like Lecrae and Cross Movement to be considered Christian rap, I mean really?

Know what my friends do when they hear Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, or any other cross movement/ 116 song. they scoff at it. they simply dont like it. mr. del was in 3-6 mafia, gave his life to the lord, and now is turning souls for Jesus Christ. If thats what you call 'positive rapping' then so be it.
and just to make things clear i like 116 more than Mr. del, but hey, not everyone is the same. he might not be making these songs for people who are checking the christian rap websites to see whats new coming out.

I agree with blueprint, hes a 'positive rapper' not a christian rapper, he is a christian but not a christian rapper,, for example Canton Jones' song 24's ft. Mr Del Millyon M Eazy & Messenjah, ITS ABOUT CARS.
its not christian, hes also got songs feat. Gangsta Boo (Get Off Me), Canton Jones got a song ft. V.I.C. (Wifey Type), T-Bone ft. KRS-One(Gospelalpamegafunkyboogiediscomusic) and Mack 10 (a few good men)
these guys are positive rappers/singers not christian rappers/singers,,
they represent their hoods instead of Christ, i hear Mr Del always reppin M-Town and T-Bone Inglewood. real Christian rappers are Lecrae Trip Lee Sho Baraka Tedashii and the others of the 116 Clique.

I have been blessed with the chance to know Mr. Del and i consider him a dear friend I have traveled the country with him and done shows with him. I have seen first hand young men stand in the back with there arms crossed breakdown into tears and accept Christ(and Del always always does a call to salvation). It severely greaves my heart to read some peoples responses to a man I have the utmost respect for. and he earned this deal when he left 3 6 ix they turned on him put death treats on him. As he built his ministry he lived in a one bed room apartment and lived off crackers because he truly beleaved God had called him to spread the word. What makes Del stand out is he doesn't just talk this Christian life he lives it. Ive seen Del change his entire show and not do any songs because God said to pray Ive seen Del give his time on stage away to big up his brother in Christ. He has no goal other than reaching the lost. All I know is I have seen the fruits of his labor in lives saved and impacted both on stage and off. This is a blessing to the entire body of Christ and we could use more Mr Del's in the body. We need people willing to do what God tells them to do irregardless of how the establishment feels about it. And yes he does know what people say about him he just beleaves and you can call him crazy for it that what God says is more important.

You Know, I (and No one else who comes to this site) do not need to read anymore of the Rude, Hateful, Judgemental Comments written by our very own! FAMILY, wake up and realize that the enemy wants us to FIGHT, CAUSE BLAME, JUDGE, and TURN AWAY FROM EACH OTHER! That?s his goal and aim. Paul said, ?I?ve become all things to all men that I might win some!??.Lecrae raps to those who know our Father, who have a history of missing the mark and/or needing a closer relationship with Christ?and then he DOES THE WORD and disciples? them! Mr.Del raps to those who are still in the streets and wont listen to a Lacrae or Trip Lee but STILL NEED TO HEAR THE GOSPEL?and then he DOES THE WORD and disciples? them.
PLEASE FAMILY!!! Why are we making our brother out to be in competition for KINGDOM SOULS? WHY? What good are we doing the body of Christ getting on here tearing down our Brother and Calling out other brother?s name who ?WE FEEL? is doing a better job at winning souls. IF THAT AINT THE DUMBEST THING EVER!! WE ARE SHOOTING OUR MEN!! If Lecrae got a Million Dollar Deal?GLORY TO GOD!!! More room for the Kingdom to grow and expand THE RACE AND CALLING GOD HAS CALLED HIM TO DO!!! Since Mr. Del has gotten a Million Dollar Deal?GLORY TO GOD!!!!! More room for the Kingdom to grow and Expand! BUT WHAT WE ARE NOT GOING TO DO IS PUT THEM AGAINST EACH OTHER AS IF ONE IS AND THE OTHER ISNT DOING THE WILL OF GOD!!! So, please repent, and lets support our Brother!

After reading through all the comments, I see that there is a division in how we all feel about Mr. Del. Me personally, I'm not a supporter of his music, but I feel that it is a tool that is reaching those who still listen to secular Hip Hop. I pray that Mr. Del will continue to grow in reading and learning from the word. He is very talented and I know that eventually he will stray away from the cheesy raps and negative image that southern rappers are bringing to the youth through BET. For those who don't like his style, understand that just because you say Jesus in a song dosen't mean its Holy. Take DMX and Kanye West for example who used Christ in their songs, made millions off of it and on the next track they release they talk about drugs, money, and degrading women. The Chritian rap music that I share with the youth down here in SC come from true artists who minister and do not compromise for the world. I will continue to do this so that I don't corrupt the sheep. Pray for Mr Del and encourge him not bash him. God Bless

We are no better than the world. I have read the comments and except for a few, I am saddened. Some writers gave great insight into the scriptures but others sought to only attack that which they don't like (that's called an opinion - keep it to yourself). I consider Mr. Del and the Holy South as brothers and sisters in CHRIST rather than as artist. As such the Bible encourages us to uplift our brothers and sisters thru prayer and words of love. If you prefer another person's way of ministering the gospel, that's fine but don't knock those who are not up to YOUR standards. We are all (The Cross Movement, Gospel Gangstaz, 116 Clique, Json, Mr. Del, me and every other born again believer)still growing in the knowledge and wisdom of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS the CHRIST. We are to lift each other up in THE LOVE OF CHRIST if we are truly believers in HIM. Sometimes when U are looking at the fruit of others, U really need to be checkin' your fruit. JET BLACK SAID...."Honestly, I find this quite sad as well as annoying. As an artist, Del doesnt show much potential to even deliever a decent album without placing a song about haters and back talkers. The typical backyard for most mainstream artists anyway (i.e. all songs EXCEPT "Church" from the Hope Dealer album..even that was vaugely christian)

Personally, I find this disgraceful to even note him as a Christian artist. Ive never heard a song where he talks solely about God or how God has changed his life. I may be slightly over my head about this but I believe Del has no reason to continue saying its the Holy South when he has songs featuring Gangsta Boo (who is STILL doing rap with mainstream)

Nothing sets me off more than a Christian "rapper" who does not display his faith through music. Del is one of those... "

I AGREE FOR THE MOST PART..God says either you're for me or against me .. and i feel that if he is polluting something that we as true believers are trying are best to be obedient in (by delivering Soooouuund!! biblical doctrine) then he is against us.. 1st let me start by saying that Mr. Del isn't my favorite artist(probably not even in my top 50), nor are we friends or associates. However, I personally knew and used to minister with Mr. Del. The bottom line is that he is a brother in Christ. Regardless of his past, his music, or his personal life, God is the ultimate judge. If you don't like his music don't listen to it! Don't bash or down him. How many people that are being critical of him are actually praying for him? How many are actually e-mailing him encouraging his growth in Christ? Del & I have had many differences, however, he is still my brother in Christ. We may never kick it again, do any business together, or work on any projects; he is STILL a brother in Christ. If anything he is doing is unGodly or unrighteous, it is God's job to judge him, not our's. Pray for Del. Encourage him in Christ. In the world: gangs, the mafia, etc, kill their own. If you don't like what the brother is doing... Fine. Don't buy the record. That is your personal preference. But also don't take the time where we are supposed to be celebrating an achievement and tear him down. Because truthfully, there is some people out there that have probably got some help from his music. And on top of that, it's ok to get CRUNK FOR CHRIST. I don't think there is nothing wrong with doing fun songs that aren't so deep all the time. Even the Bible says there is a time to laugh and a time to cry but the church puts so much emphasis on a time to cry that we forget that this is supposed to be fun also! So songs about having fun are not bad!

It's cool to critique, that is how you help artist like myself grow, but when you begin to judge it's a whole different story.

I just finished reading all the comments and I find myself still laughing about what Perplexed from Maryland said. ( : Out of all the comments posted I believe his probably sums it up the best. Cross Movements headline was a million souls and Mr Del's is million dollar deal. Hmmm??? I would be more excited about the headline if this was 116 Clique or The Crossmovement having talked with them and followed them from the beginning. To be honest I don't even think they would allow such a such a title for posting. I believed this will probably hurt the Kingdom more than it will help in the long run if there is not more depth and talent in Mr Del and Holy South's music. If I had to pick a Holy hip hop rapper to represent the Kingom they would not even be in my top 1000.Nothing against the man himself but his content and music for anyone who know anything about Kingdom living and hip hop in general is not very good at all. There is a big difference as it has been stated already between postive rap and Christian rap. Are we here to move souls or feet? Bach said, "listen to music that glorifies God." The majority of Mr. Del's and Holy South's music glorifies self more than it does God and really is lukewarm. If I wanted to listen to songs about money, cadillacs, getting crunk, and the throw in God here and there I mise well go pick up a DMX, Puffy, or Mase Cd. I'm Pretty sure Jesus said," out of the heart so the mouth speaks." You can't expect the deeper things of the word in their lyrics when they sit under health/ wealth prosperity teaching. Their lyrics and content are a direct result of their spiritual diet and overseeing. It's one thing to have tight lyrics it's another thing to have sound doctrine. That what makes CMR and Reach Records the true pillars of Holy Hip Hop. I pray that the Lord draws us all closer to Him and His truth that we can be not just Christians but Disciples.

I see your heart man. It is good. I think we all are here for the same reason(even Mr. Del). The Bible also tells us not to be over zealous. To address you comment "LOOK THROUGH SCRIPTURE no man o great FAITH ever had to try to disguise the Gospel." If you study the Gospels and the way Jesus Christ related to people. He appealed to their needs. He talked about things they could relate too. The whole reason why every preacher in the world speaks about sewing seeds is because Christ used that metaphor constantly to meet the people where they are at. They were an agricultural society, therefore he spoke using agriculture. HE DISGUISED THE GOSPEL IN A METAPHOR" Only time he would speak of the law is when he related to the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Herodians, that is because they understood. THAT WAS THE METHOD OF JESUS CHRIST. He didn't walk around saying to the world, I'm Jesus... The Christ...and if you don't accept me, I will reign down fire from Heaven and smash your heads in, and the laws says this, the law says that. He related to them. Talked to them, Dined with them. I'm not making excuses for anyone. The fact of the matter is I don't even listen to Mr. Del's music. But the fact is he got a distribution deal and that can open the doors for many other Christian acts. Believe me, if they think they can make money with Christian Music. They will give everyone multi million dollar deals. Hopefully, they'll give Theory Hazit, Humble Tip, and all these other brothers deals. Heck maybe Mr. Del might let them uses his distribution to distribute their music. So to act like this is not a win for the Body of Christ is to be naive my friend.

Man, I am so tired of Christians making excuses, babying people, dressing things up. The fact of the matter is mr. Del is a extremely good ENTERTAINER on the mic. PERIOD. Hey, believe it or not I am happy about his deal but lets STOP FRONTING call a apple a apple and a orange a orange fam. Real recognize real and for us to be acting like this is a huge move for the KINGDOM for myself would be a lie. I have seen this dude during a concert and I have seen everybody jumping up and down, sweating, and dancing a leave with absolutely NO WORD at all. Aye, if thats what the people want than they can have that but um about winning souls. LOOK THROUGH SCRIPTURE no man o great FAITH ever had to try to disguise the Gospel. Mr. Del this is to you, stay faithful brutha, keep God first Im not slamming you at all, if this is what God told you to do then dismisss anyone telling you anything contrary to it, because what Gd has for you, is for you and no one else, but I refuse to be fakin and actin all giddy about this. No body is hatin at all, but answer me this, if someone only got to listen to one MR. Del song and you couldnt pic it, the shuffle got put on random and this was the only presentation of the Gosple they would ever get in their life, would they hear it or would they just dance?

To blueprint, Yes my friend. Times are serious!!! People are going to Hell everyday but the Bible says he that wins souls is wise. That means that we have to be tactful and strategic. Force feeding people is not the answer. Over compromising is not answer either. BOTH ARE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE BUT when we realize that some people will be overly extreme and others will be overly lax then that brings about balance! The main thing is to not tear one another down for their position!!!!
I'm not defending anyone... Well actually I am because so many of us tend to shun both sides. We have to work together! This is a time of celebration for the BODY OF CHRIST no matter how you slice it. There is a time and a place to chastise. Right now is not the time. Actually the people dissing this brother sound like Haters. Phillip posted this news to let people know something good has happened for a fellow CHRISTIAN BUT, SOMEHOW, SOME WAY, INSTEAD OF LOOKING AT THE GOOD THING!!!! INSTEAD OF CELEBRATING THIS ACHIEVEMENT, Some of us decided to point out the BAD. That what a hater does. When the see something poppin off for others, they point out short comings. Once again let's work together. This is not the place to Smash our fellow brother.

A DEAL!!! OH MY Goodness!!! I am so excited for you Mr. Del!!!! Congratulations on all your accomplishments!!! I cannot wait for your new stuff! If that conference is open to everyone, then I am so coming! smilies/smiley.gif I also love the vidoes "You Can Do It Too" and "Rain Cry". Rain Cry made me almost cry. And You Can Do It Too made me so happy I wanted to cry too! The message in it was awesome. The dance was 'off da chain'. I just love it!!! I'm so excited!!! I can't express it, so I'll just "Step to the left, step to the right, watch me do my foot work stepping for Christ! I can do it too!!" I can live for Christ too! Peace and may God continue to bless you because your ministry has blessed me so much!

Question? Even if he is a Christian that Raps... Is there not a place for him? If there is nothing wrong with it, why say he can't call himself a Christian rapper? How do you know he's not Hot for Christ. Have you been to Memphis? Do you know how many souls he's won for Christ?(I don't) If not, how can you judge his fruit?

Check this scripture out in Mark
Actually Mark 9: 38-41
38"Teacher," said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us."

39"Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40for whoever is not against us is for us. 41I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.

That's from the mouth of Christ himself. That's the red letter people!!!!!!! Here's the facts...1. Del is not the best rapper there is! 2. Del Does call himself a Christian. 3. Del is not preachy in his lyrics. But if he's with us then why are you guys against him. This is our brother.

Plain and simple dont call yourself a Christian rapper if you arent rapping about Christ. Call yourself a positive rapper cuz thats what you are and thers nothing wrong with that, but if you aint rapping about Christ than your not a christian rapper, you may be a rapper whos a christian but your not a christian rapper.

I personally agree wit what most are saying about del not praisin Jesus it is not nessesarly religious to say jesus in a song. I mean waht is christian anything without CHRIST.Everytime I hear some artists' song that claims to be in the christian genre not atleast agknowlege god in the song it feels weird cuz they (just like del) r praisin themselves. I also dont think he even raps that well his best stuff is his rap on Canton Jones' the password and 24's but other than that his music AND beats r really below par

I have to say that even though I am not a big fan of Del, I am happy and proud to see a Christian rapper getting some love. Maybe with a mainstream deal, it will improve his music (production wise).

My only concern is that now I see Christian rap is becoming pretty big and with that comes attention from BIG BUSINESS people who are going to want to exploit the new "hot thing" for profit and are not going to really look for people who are spiritual grounded when they rap but someone who sounds good throwing Jesus in a few lines. It happened to mainstream hiphop and unfortunately HHH is not immune from it.

But anyways I am happy to see him get recognition not if only my fav. rappers Theory Hazit, Braille, Othello, Sharlok Poems etc. would get the same kind of love.
