Rapzilla.com’s 12 Freshman of 2012 – Social Club

Only a few months after their first collab on Martymar.’s free album ‘Please Don’t Make Me Look Bad’, the infamous duo known as Social Club was born. Before Social Club, both Martymar. and F.E.R.N. had released projects of their own, which showcased the thing that really sets this group apart … transparency. Whether it’s Martymar’s personal relationships, or F.E.R.N.’s upbringing growing up in the streets slangin’ and family life, you will get something to relate to listening to Social Club. When this group formed back in April they brought you two songs “See Nobody“, and “Hawaiian Punch”, both featuring Marty spilling his heart on the track and F.E.R.N. providing a solid hook and polished verse.

More were tuning into what was to come next from Social Club, and they answered the curiosity with three new songs “Angels with Dirty Faces“, “Brooklyn“, and “Public Service Announcement“. With the release of these three songs people were demanding an album, and after taking a break from music, they returned to the scene with news of ‘Mistfits’, an album in production which is scheduled for a Summer 2012 release, read more about that here.

What’s Social Club is all about? It can be summed up with these few lines from F.E.R.N.:
“This is different music, if you should listen to it, then you would know that our aim is more than influence. Social Club is the movement, but our God is the focus. Sound doctrine my friends, but the method is dopeness.”
