No Malice talks new album ‘Let the Dead Bury the Dead’ and ‘End of Malice’ soundtrack

No Malice told Rapzilla after a screening of his new film The End of Malice that he plans to release his next album titled Let the Dead Bury the Dead this summer.

“Basically, the concept of the album is, instead of getting caught up with what everyone else is doing,” No Malice said, “I just want to show people that I don’t have anyone to keep up with. … You don’t have to be in competition with everyone. Just be the best you that you can be because ‘let the dead bury the dead.’ This rat race is always going to go on.”

No Malice’s album title is a Bible reference.

Matthew 8:22 reads, “But Jesus told him, ‘Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.'”

Luke 9:60 reads, “Jesus said to him, ‘Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.'”

“The soundtrack is entitled Moving Weight,” No Malice said, “getting rid of dead weight. A lot of people carry a lot of burdens around that they don’t have to carry. They just don’t know the freedom of Jesus Christ, so we carry this unnecessary guilt and pain and a whole bunch of other things that cause us issues — some paralyzing fear. People don’t know that they can just be free from that.”

I Am Second recently dropped the lead single for Moving Weight, “Best Believe It”, by No Malice featuring MD Uno.

Pre-order Moving Weight on iTunes.
