Tell me how does it feel to finally release '777 (Mark of the Peace)'?
Feels like a 3 year heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

How much time and work have you put into this project?
WOW you would be shocked if you knew! each track had a minimum of 10 different mixes before the final one was chosen. I mixed and mastered most of the tracks myself but DJ Essence has worked with me occasionally over the years; ask him what I'm like LOL.

Why the long wait?
Getting the project right was important to me but I still don't think its where I wanted it to be. I'm not fully happy but the delays were getting ridiculous so I had to ake a cut off point and say, "thats it!"

Tell us about the title '777 (Mark of the Peace)'.
It started out as just creative word play but I found there was a deeper meaning to the number:

In the first verse of the Bible, it is written: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Gn 1,1) This verse consists of 7 Hebrew words and 28 letters (28 is four 7's), and it also counts three names: God, heavens and earth. The sum of the Hebraic numerical values of each one gives 777: God = 86, Heavens = 395 and Earth = 296, where 86+395+296 = 777.

What's your favorite song and why?
My favourite song is African Drum because I feel it is relavent to the times we are living in. The world is becoming more wicked and God's wrath is being stored up to be poured out on the ungodly. I really feel connected to the vibe in that song. I zoned out when I was recording that one!

What inspired you making this album?
1. The Holy Spirit all day! Some get high in the studio but I would zone out in the Holy Spirit!
2. I was inspired by seeing other brothers in Christ who had mad talent but were giving up on their gift or not pushing with their music, then seeing secular rappers who were not that good but pushing their projects to the limit and I was like "Nar man! This gospel of the kingdom is to important to sleep on!!"

The album cover, tell us about the concept behind it?
Head in the clouds = Me being heavenly minded Colossians 3:2
Rainbow from mouth = Me speaking forth God's covenant Genisis 9:12-16
Each gospel shows us a different side of Jesus
4 subjects = 4 gospels:

Lion = Matthew = Jesus as King = In His Royalty
OX = Mark = Jesus as a servant = In His Humility
New man = Luke = Jesus as a sinless man = In His Humanity
Eagle = John = Jesus as God = In His Divinity

Any thank you's that you want to give?
The list is 3 years long, is it possible to leave out this question? LOL

Congrats for hitting #1 on AmazonMP3 in the UK. What were you thinking when you saw that?
I was SHOCKED...really. It's still not that big though, US Billboard 100 and UK Top 40 is BIG. I'll pop the non-alchoholic wine when I hit one of those charts. LOL

Even though this project just came out, we know rappers never stop, when will you start your new album?
I'm in talks for my next project and work will begin this year, I have the title and IT IS MASSIVE! I'm more excited about my next project than this one but that's just the perfectionist in me. The next album will be better than '777' (God willing). That is my aim! I can't wait to get started! I'll be working with the BEST IN THE WORLD!!

Stay tuned for pt.2 of this interview, and pick up '777 (Mark of the Peace)' on iTunes or AmazonMP3.
