In the Press: Christian rapper accuses Winnipeg police of racial profiling

Grammy-nominated rapper and Christian minister, Fresh I.E. is accusing the Winnipeg police of racial profiling, claiming police yanked him out of his car at gunpoint on suspicion the vehicle was stolen.

A Winnipeg police spokesman said Thursday the incident is being reviewed by police Chief Keith McCaskill’s office.

Robert Wilson, known as Fresh I.E. in music circles, said he and another man were driving in his car Wednesday afternoon when Winnipeg police boxed him in and removed him from the vehicle at gunpoint.
