Producers are no doubt a peculiar breed. At any hour they can be found (in their underwear) at a computer experimenting with different sounds, their wife/helpmate in the next room counting sheep or wondering what they got themselves into with this basket case. This is, in large part, how the producer communicates; he mixes together thuds and echoes and reverberations to form a composition. This is his language, his contribution to the mess that is the music pot.Add a comment
On February 11 at 6 p.m., a Christian Hip-Hop show hosted by a group called The Breax performed at the Clarke Field House. The Breax is made up of three artists: Ruslan Karaoglanov, the emcee and a CSUSM student, Beleaf, the DJ from Baltimore, Maryland, and Mic B, the drummer who is from Oceanside. The event included local artists like Heavenly Host from Oceanside, and a Portland, Oregon native artist called Braille.
This event marked the beginning of the "Broken Television" tour for The Breax, which will take them to New York City, Maryland, and Los Angeles. The idea of the concert was to let The Breax and the local artists express themselves and their beliefs through both Hip-Hop music and spoken word poetry.
In an era of studio gangsters, over the top street stories and excessive “flossing”, it gets harder to sift through the garbage and find the TRUTH. Fortunately, Andale’ does just that with his latest single “Homie Please” [FREE DOWNLOAD NOW] Thanks to production from Mr. Air Jordan himself (k-Drama) and assistance from Brothatone and Pro, “Homie Please” is a song that will not only put the fallacies of street life on blast but will definitely keep you leaning all day!
On February 25th Braille and S1 will be embarking on a month long tour visiting cities in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The duo will be celebrating their new record "CloudNineteen" and also putting their mission statement into action. Over the course of 30 days they will be performing at an eclectic line up of venues and facilities. One thing that makes this tour so unique is that the majority of the shows are free and catered towards an all ages audience. Another bonus of the tour is that Braille and S1 will be handing out free copies of their new album "CloudNineteen" to everyone in attendance at their shows.Add a comment
