The Ambassador named in SoulTrain’s Top 40 Most Soulful Hip Hop Artists list

In commemoration of 40 years of diverse, passionate hip hop, SoulTrain.com recently released their Top 40 list of “most soulful hip hop artists”. Along with the usual suspects of emcees and bands, names like Pete Rock, The Roots, Common and J Dilla, was a noticeable name for those who love Christian Hip Hop. Sitting at #19, right ahead of Biggie Smalls, is original Cross Movement member and current Xist music emcee The Ambassador. Duce, as he is affectionally called by close companions, has gained recognition from Christian and mainstream outlets for his delivery, wordplay and soulful sounds. This is a positive sign of industry respect for the Philly native as a meaningful recognition of his contribution to soulful hip hop music. The Ambassador will be releasing his new EP ‘Hors D’Oeuvres‘ this Tuesday as a soulful sampler of new music for fans who are eager to hear more.
