Jahaziel wins BEST GOSPEL at the MOBO Awards

Jahaziel won the MOBO Award for Best Gospel Act in London Wednesday night.

Celebrity Songwriters Carrie and David Grant presented the Holy Hip Hop recording artist with MOBO award at the star-studded ceremony. Also nominated for the award were Ekklesia, Tye Tribbett and Kirk Franklin.

MOBO stands for ‘Music of Black Origin’ and the awards are the European equivalent to the BET Awards. www.mobo.com.

Jahaziel’s debut album Ready to Live has been widely received and has been billed as one of the best albums in 2007, by Gospel link Magazine.

Jahaziel has finished filming his first music video set for release in November 2008.

Jahaziel is also working on his new album due for release next year, and he has recently featured on projects with Charity Christian Aid www.christianaid.org.uk/ and the Government Anti Gun and Knives campaign – It Doesn’t Have to Happen www.bebo.com/itdoesnthavetohappen.
