Who Da Kang? He Da Kang!

Who Da Kang? He Da Kang!
SaulPaul to impact thousands this summer on mission trip.

Imagine being born into poverty…without a mother or father. Picture growing up in the ghetto, surrounded by drugs and murder. Visualize being locked in the Texas state penitentiary but then…See yourself going against all odds and graduating from one of the nation’s top universities. This was SaulPaul’s life.

This summer, Texas native SaulPaul, a “musician with a message,” will be embarking on a mission trip. Nope, he won’t be going to Africa or some third world country, he’ll be going to Golden, Missouri! What’s in Golden you ask? Kids Across America or as many know it…KAA. Kids Across America is a sports camp ministry whose vision is to revolutionize inner city America through evangelism and to equip urban youth and their leaders.

SaulPaul was introduced to KAA last year, when he was requested to come and minister hands on for a week. By the time the week was up, SaulPaul was ready to return and do it again! Lucky for him, they were looking forward to his return as well. Not only did KAA want SaulPaul to return, but they requested he write the 2010 camp theme song. They knew he could do it, as he is featured weekly on ESPN Radio providing sports recaps in the form of rap.

SaulPaul wrote the song, they loved it and now it will be featured throughout the summer as KAA’s theme song. Download the song for free here by entering code “rapzilla”.

Better still, SaulPaul, will be moving from his hometown of Austin, TX and relocating to Missouri for the summer to be able to personally interact with and impact the thousands and thousands of inner city youth across America that will visit KAA this summer.

SaulPaul’s goal for this musical mission trip is to give away 10,000 Tower to Tower CDs and DVDs. His non-profit organization ReRoute Outreach has undertaken the goal of raising $30,000 in 30 days to accomplish this feat. For every $3 donation, 1 CD or DVD will be sown into the life of a camper at KAA. If you would like to assist in this Kingdom sized task, click here. (As of May 4, 2010, $2938 had been raised.)

About Tower to Tower SaulPaul went from sleeping in a jail cell with a view of the prison watch guard tower to graduation from the prestigious University of Texas at Austin. And as fate would have it, his college graduation was held at the campus’ famous clock tower. So SaulPaul literally went from Tower to Tower.

Since college graduation, SaulPaul has been sharing his testimony of how Christ changed him from Saul to Paul and has allowed him to walk in his purpose. He’s impacted hundreds of thousands of people through his music, movie, book and motivational speeches.

Tower to Tower is now the name of SaulPaul’s hip hop/rap CD, documentary and book. His national speaking tours and magazine also bear the name as well.

From California to New York, night club to the church, foster home to state prison, juvenile detention center to community rec center, from at risk youth in public schools to students attending illustrious private colleges, SaulPaul has been telling the story of Tower to Tower…One man’s journey from a Texas prison cell with a view of the watch guard tower to graduation at the famous clock tower at the prestigious University of Texas at Austin.

The audiences vary but the mission remains the same…

Change the World. One life at a time.
