July 18, 2011—Xist Music is proud to announce the signing of MOBO Award Winning Gospel artist Jahaziel to a recording contract. Widely considered one of the most talented and innovative Hip Hop artists in the UK and internationally, Jahaziel has been causing a stir on the Christian hip hop music scene for almost a decade.
In signing with Xist Music, Jahaziel joins fellow urban Christian music artists The Ambassador, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Andale and Xist label president and vocalist, Sean Simmonds. “This is an exciting time at Xist,” says T. Black, CEO of Xist Music. “Adding Jahaziel to Xist is an important step within the vision that God has placed on our hearts.”
Jahaziel’s latest release, ‘The Still Livin’ Mixtape‘, which has been downloaded to rave reviews, is a foretaste of where Jahaziel is going musically. The high demand for his unique sound and powerful messages will now only increase.
Jahaziel shares, “I am honored and excited to join Xist and to see what the LORD will do.” Jahaziel’s next project, which will be released on the Xist Music label, is slated for early 2012.
In a Rapzilla poll last week, 52% of voters thought that Mali Music would be the new signee to Xist, with Jahaziel getting 21%. Fans were close, or perhaps they are right on both hunches?
