Lisa McClendon prepares for NEW album release

After a 4 plus year “pause”, no pun intended, inspirational soul artist, Lisa McClendon, heads back to the studio for her 6th soul album release.

In 2008, McClendon released her award winning 4th album, “Reality”, through her own label, BluSoul Worldwide Entertainment Group. The albums great success earned her several EnSound Music awards.

Although not very visible in the last year, McClendon has remained very productive behind the scenes.

In 2011, award winning recording artist Lisa McClendon, founded a non-profit organization, Girls Life with Lisa McClendon, whose mission is to teach girls the importance of ownership of their lives. In addition to touring the US, Girls Life with Lisa McClendon, has also served in the Charlotte Mecklenburg county school system, mentoring both middle and high school girls.

Lisa McClendon and her husband, Pastor Maurice Brailsford, launched a new ministry also in 2011, The Life Center. The Life Center is a family based ministry who’s mission is to teach people to see themselves as God sees them and to see God has He is. In October 2011, McClendon became a licensed, ordained minister. And is now serving as Pastor Lisa for the Leading Ladies Ministry at The Life Center.

“I’ve wanted to return to music in this capacity several times in the past few years, but it wasn’t time. Just when you think you’ve grown up, God reminds you there is still more growing to do.” McClendon explains.

McClendon’s previous releases has earned her several nominations and awards, including both Dove and Stellar nominations.

Currently, Lisa is partnering with David P. Stevens, Philadelphia producer and jazz guitarist, for her latest installation. Stevens also co-produced McClendon’s Reality project and is the musical mind behind, “Thank You” and “Heaven.”
