Shai Linne ranked 4th best rapper alive by rhyme algorithm

Lamp Mode Recordings artist Shai Linne is the fourth best rapper alive based on “rhyme factor,” according to a study done by Finnish doctoral candidate Eric Malmi.

Malmi took the lyrics of 94 artists and plugged 10,082 songs into an algorithm that he created to detect assonance rhymes. His “rhyme factor” calculation ranked Shai behind only Inspectah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan, Rakim and Redrama among the artists tested — which included 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, Nas and Shakespeare (h/t Vox).

Lecrae and Andy Mineo were the only other Christian hip-hop artists included in the test. Mineo came in at No. 18, just ahead of Talib Kweli, and Lecrae at No. 47, which still slotted him above J. Cole, Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar.
