Christon Gray announces departure from Collision Records, new EP

Christon Gray confirmed fans’ suspicions on Monday that he is no longer signed to Collision Records.

He claimed in an open letter on his official website that the two sides separated because they were “going in different directions.” Collision declined to comment on the statement.

The Columbus-based artist stressed that he holds no ill will toward the label and plans to continue to work with its artists. Gray, who dropped the critically-acclaimed album School of Roses in March 2014, also announced that he will release a new EP through the streaming application TheOverflow on April 28. He added that he has received multiple offers from other labels but is currently unsigned.
