Lecrae, Dee-1 call out Donald Trump for controversial tweet about Barack Obama

Several prominent figures in Christian hip hop joined in with the hundreds who took offense to Donald Trump’s controversial tweet about President Barack Obama’s role in the Baltimore riots, which have erupted this past week in response to the death of Freddie Gray.

Late Monday, Trump tweeted the following after violent riots plagued Baltimore over the weekend:


The backlash for the tweet was immense. Noteworthy reactions in Christian hip hop came from Lecrae, Dee-1 and Collision Records’ CEO Adam Thomason.


Many recognizable names in Christian hip hop have been vocal on social media about the tragedies linked to injustice over the past year. Some of the most outspoken include Thi’sl, Propaganda and Alex Medina.
