Json reveals when new album ‘Foreign’ will drop

Lamp Mode Recordings president and emcee Json announced the release date of his seventh studio album, Foreign, on Wednesday.

Foreign will drop on July 8, he tweeted, and the “Vol. 1” on the cover art suggests that Foreign could be the start of a series of projects.

Json released his last single, “Love Me” featuring RIP, in February and last album, No Filter, in March 2015. No Filter debuted at No. 17 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart.

Stayed tuned for more details about Foreign in the coming weeks.

Json also told Rapzilla at SXSW 2016 that he’s launched a new rap group with fellow St. Louis-based artists Nico Wells, Tory Starks, T-Word and Bhird. The collective is called Dead Heroes, and its members plan to eventually release a project together.
