iTunes has created a new section within the Hip Hop / Rap section. If you look on the upper right corner of the Hip Hop / Rap section you’ll see a link that says “Inspirational Hip Hop”. Click that and you’ll see mostly Reach Records releases but you’ll also see a few others like Json, Flame, Thi’sl, shai linne, Bizzle, and new comer Sean Demars. This is BIG for Christian Hip Hop! God gets the glory.
UPDATE: All titles in this new section will still chart regularly on both the Hip-Hop/Rap charts and Overall charts. This is not a section where Christian Hip Hop titles will get pushed to the side, it is a “Hip Hop Quick Link”. This was likely created as a feature to highlight titles that are selling well and that are editors picks. It is a quick link so a consumer can find a lot of titles that they would want to purchase with one click, which obviously allows iTunes to capitalize on the sales.
