EA Sports selected Braille's song "The IV" to use in the trailer for their video game "NBA Live 09" coming out this fall.  The trailer showcases the athlete who will be featured on the cover of the game, Tony Parker from the San Antonio Spurs.  The song comes from Braille's forth solo record "The IV Edition" available now on Syntax/Koch.  The video game placement adds another highlight to what has already been an incredible summer for Braille.  After his record dropped on April 15th he received great reviews from The Source, Okayplayer.com, Rapreviews.com, Sphereofhiphop.com and many more.  He also did a 3 month U.S. tour which included album release parties with Pigeon John, The Paid Dues festival in Denver with De La Soul and performances on Vans Warped Tour with Othello.  The trailer for NBA Live 09 can be viewed on Youtube at the follow link - http://youtube.com/watch?v=YlXG5Ic8n7c

On June 20 and 21, Houston was home to the rarest voices in conscious rap and hip-hop culture as the red carpet rolled out for the All Eyes On Me (AEOM) Achievement Awards. Held at Copperfield Church, the newly revamped awards show saluted Syntax Records with top honors.
Formerly focusing on Texas, the AEOM Achievement Awards took a national spin this year, bringing artists together from New York to California in the name of hip-hop. This year, AEOM gave Syntax Records the mantle of "Pioneer Classic Record Label".

In a world where many teens know every word of a Soulja Boy or Lil Wayne song but can't remember the Ten Commandments or recite the Lord's Prayer, pastors and youth ministers across the nation are in a battle to bring their youths to Christ.

"Young people aren't going to stop listening to hip-hop," said Samad Bilal founder of New Generations Christian Conference, which stopped by Paradise Cathedral in Roanoke on Saturday.

The all-day conference focuses on bringing the word of God to young people who are influenced by today's hip-hop culture.

Todd Smith, aka Te'Luvv, doesn't fit the rapper mold. The only gold he wears is a wedding ring. He doesn't curse, drink or claim to have emerged from thug life. "The bottom line for me is that it's ministry," he said. "I decrease myself so God can look bigger and better."

Te'Luvv (pronounced Tay-Love) is a 28-year-old Christian rapper who recently moved to Memphis, and just released his fourth CD, "The World is Not Enough." Each track is a poetic sermon delivered through a rap beat.
