Fadacy artist Applejaxx is set to release the Databass mixtape on July 15, 2008. In this Databass episode Applejaxx is locked in to implant the message of Christ into the system. This release features Jekob of the Washington Projects, Gibraan, and more, as well as production from Tonex, Nelly B, and Battle Axe. Databass will be released digitally to major online stores (itunes, Amazon, etc.) with digital download cards and physical CD’s available at the Fadacy website. Databass is a prelude to Applejaxx’s full-length project Born Identity.
EA Sports selected Braille's song "The IV" to use in the trailer for their video game "NBA Live 09" coming out this fall. The trailer showcases the athlete who will be featured on the cover of the game, Tony Parker from the San Antonio Spurs. The song comes from Braille's forth solo record "The IV Edition" available now on Syntax/Koch. The video game placement adds another highlight to what has already been an incredible summer for Braille. After his record dropped on April 15th he received great reviews from The Source, Okayplayer.com, Rapreviews.com, Sphereofhiphop.com and many more. The Christian Female Rap Network (CFRN), in cooperation with DJ I Rock Jesus, have set the date of August 15th to release an all female rap mixtape to encourage and empower listeners in living a life that is pleasing to God. The collaboration includes honest testimonies, authentic beats and snippets of tracks straight off the network's soon to be released, 'The CFRN Experience' project.
"Young people aren't going to stop listening to hip-hop," said Samad Bilal founder of New Generations Christian Conference, which stopped by Paradise Cathedral in Roanoke on Saturday.
The all-day conference focuses on bringing the word of God to young people who are influenced by today's hip-hop culture.

Te'Luvv (pronounced Tay-Love) is a 28-year-old Christian rapper who recently moved to Memphis, and just released his fourth CD, "The World is Not Enough." Each track is a poetic sermon delivered through a rap beat.
