Many in the Christian Hip-Hop Community have witnessed the growth at Crossover via visiting services, concerts or the annual Fla.vor Fest conference. God is doing something amazing in Tampa, Florida. Just seven years ago Urban D. took the role of lead pastor with a small group of people that had a heart to impact the urban community and those influenced by hip-hop. Over the years the growth continued at a steady pace to where today they have 3 Sunday Services with over 600 people attending. Population of Invisible People” is the National debut album from veteran hip-hop super-group, Carnival coming straight out of Youngstown, OH.  Carnival has been together for 15+ years as a group and has seen many changes in their lives personally as well as spiritually in that time.  Carnival grew up listening to all styles of music from rock, hip-hop/rap, soul etc.  Our first Christian rap album was Michael Peace then we got T-Bone, Nuwine and Lil Raskull who took it to a whole new level.

On February 11 at 6 p.m., a Christian Hip-Hop show hosted by a group called The Breax performed at the Clarke Field House. The Breax is made up of three artists: Ruslan Karaoglanov, the emcee and a CSUSM student, Beleaf, the DJ from Baltimore, Maryland, and Mic B, the drummer who is from Oceanside. The event included local artists like Heavenly Host from Oceanside, and a Portland, Oregon native artist called Braille.

This event marked the beginning of the "Broken Television" tour for The Breax, which will take them to New York City, Maryland, and Los Angeles. The idea of the concert was to let The Breax and the local artists express themselves and their beliefs through both Hip-Hop music and spoken word poetry.
